Introduction
This workshop manual has been researched and written by automotive engineers for the practically-minded car owner who wishes to maintain his Holden Commodore VH in a safe, reliable and serviceable condition and, at the same time, reduce running and maintenance costs. The Holden Commodore covered by this manual, was taken into our workshops where the repair methods described were proved in practice. To ensure that the reader can readily identify the components, and the operations described in the text, detailed photographs were produced during the workshop research for inclusion throughout this manual.
Each section contains step by step procedures for the removal and installation of components and, where applicable, detailed instructions for the testing, overhaul and adjustment of them. For the technically minded, comprehensive specifications are given at the beginning of each section.
