ABOUT THIS LIMITED EDITION BOOK

Half A Century of Speed was produced in October/November 1998 with a total of 800 copies printed. It is the publisher's intention that no further copies will ever be produced. To protect the book's rarity and investment value, the printing plates were destroyed after the print run was completed.

The three editions are:

• Black leather-bound Top Gear deluxe edition of 300 signed copies, numbered 1-300.

• Blue cloth-bound Type Forty edition of 400 copies, numbered 1-400.

• Red cloth-bound Disc Brakes Australia edition of 100 signed copies, with end-papers depicting DBA founder Oscar Joseph racing his 1934 MG NE Magnette. These are numbered 1-100 and will not be offered for sale.

• Note: Approximately a dozen "printer's proof' copies have been produced to verify certain aspects of the three editions. These have been clearly marked "Printer's Proof Copy", they are un-numbered and will not be offered for sale.
