Description

Author: Steve Rendle, Hardbound, 204 Pages, H5801, ISBN: 9780857338013 - This enlarged and updated edition published in November, 2015

At the 2010 Fl season finale in Abu Dhabi, Sebastian Vette! was crowned as Fl World Champion. His team, Red Bull Racing, had already clinched the Constructors' Mkxkl Championship at the previous round in Brazil. Both Red Bull Racing and Vettel worked hard to maintain their remarkable success, repeating the championship double from 2011-2013. to take an astonishing clean sweep of eight world championships over four seasons.

In 2014, Fl entered a new techical era, with a change blob turbocharged engines and Energy Recovery Systems (ERS). and Infiniti Red Bull Racing, with new recruit Daniel Ricciardo, was the only team to take the fight b the dominant Mercedes. winning three races.

The series of cars that took Red Bull Racing to this run of suCcess began with the the 2010 RB6, which evolved into the RI37, RB8 and RB9, before a clean sheet of paper resulted in the RB10 for 2014, a car which still folowed many of the design cues from its predecessors.

This updated Haynes Manual, produced with the full cooperation of Infiniti Red Bull Racing, takes a unique look under the skin of these remarkable cars, explaining in unprecedented detail how a modern Fl car works. Aided by numerous photographs and exclusive technical ilustrations, the fascinating text describes:

* The Anatomy of the Red Bull Racing RB6 to RB10 - chassis, aerodynamics, suspension and steering, brakes, power unit (including V6 engine and ERS), transmission, tyres, electronics, hydraulic system, safety equipment, driver controls

* The Designer's View - the design process, optimising the 'package', wind-tunnel and CFD simulation, testing and development

*The Race Engineer's View - working on the car, working with the driver, setting up the car, the race weekend

* The Race Driver's View - Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat provide insight into how they drive an Fl car and how they work with the team to develop and optimise it throughout the season
