Description

Author: Lawrence Dalton. Hardbound, 344 Pages, ISBN: 9780901564283, 1st Edition, 1988 - Second-Hand book in excellent condition !

Ever since 1979, when the fourth and final edition of Rolls-Royce:The Elegance Continues went out of print, the demand for copies continued.

Rather than reprint again, a new book was planned, to include more data in the form of listings of all coachbuilt Rolls-Royce, up to and including the Phantom V.

These lists, culled from the Rolls-Royce material now held by the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club at Paulerspury, Northamptonshire, include all Silver Wraith, Phantom IV and Phantom V chassis and many Silver Dawn and Silver Cloud I, II and HI chassis.

They are invaluable to the enthusiast who wants to know if the body on a particular chassis is what it is claimed to be, its date, first owner, etc.

Over five hundred illustrations cover practically every different body mounted on post-war Rolls-Royce up to 1986, including interiors and coachbuilders' drawings.

Lawrence Dalton, a life long motor enthusiast, prepared his first book 'Those Elegant Rolls-Royce' in 1967, and founded a company, Dalton Watson, to publish it.

He wrote three other books, 'The 1930 London Motor Show and Paris Salon' in 1970, 'Rolls-Royce, The Elegance Continues' in 1971 and 'Coachwork on Rolls-Royce' in 1975, whilst the company went on to become one of the most reputable car book publishers in the country.
