The World's
Commercial Vehicles
1830 - 1964
by G. N. GEORGANO

Details of nearly 4,000 manufacturers from 32 different countries are contained in this unique, world-wide survey of commercial road vehicles.

Over 130 years of production are covered, ranging from Hancock's steam carriage of 1830 to the producers of the latest diesel-engined goods and passenger vehicles.

Entries are listed alphabetically according to proprietary names, past and present addresses and dates of manufacture are given, together with a description of the types of vehicle produced and their motive power.

In an extended introduction, Mr. Georgano traces the historical development of the many classifications of commercial vehicles and the work is illustrated by eight pages of halftone plates depicting a wide range of models, both in terms of time and classification.

Mr. Georgano previously prepared the new and revised edition of the late G. R. Doyle's The World's Automobiles. Together with that work and Erwin Tragatsch's The World's Motorcycles, Mr. Georgano's new book greatly extends this combined survey of the world's road vehicles.
