About the Author:

Ralph Hosier's childhood enthusiasm for cars blossomed into a career spanning more than two decades in vehicle engineering, working with the likes of Ford, Bentley, Jaguar and Land Rover. He started getting muddy with Land Rovers in the early 1990s, and after many green lanes and play days he decided to step things up and go Comp Safari racing in a home-built Bowler Tomcat. He has owned and maintained many Land Rovers and the majority of pictures in this book are of Ralph's own Discoverys, with him doing the work shown.
He is a chartered engineer and member of the Institute of the Motor Industry, and the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
In recent years he has written many technical articles for magazines such as Land Rover Monthly, Octane, Evo, Practical Performance Car, Practical Classics, Full Throttle and Classics Monthly, as well as making the occasional TV appearance.
